Two months ago, I had the pleasure of photographing one of my best friends and her lovely family in celebration of her daughter’s second birthday. O.M.G., I can’t believe they are 2 already! And by “they” and I mean her daughter, Laura, and my son, Max. Well, Max isn’t quite 2, but soon. Steph and I were pregnant together, tossed my current day job back and forth between each other for a few years, and just seem to have a ridiculous amount of stuff in common. When I met her about 3 years ago, I felt like we instantly clicked. She “got” me and most of our time together is spent cracking each other up.
It’s been such a blessing to find a friend like Stephanie! And now our kids are destined to be friends, too! Or at least date at some point. No pressure! When she asked me to take Laura’s 2 year pics, I couldn’t have been more excited! She wanted a setting with some water (I love me some water, too…rivers especially…SEE? So much in common!), so to avoid driving all over the county (not too many bodies of water ’round Indiana…), we chose Blue Spruce Park and its lovely lake setting. The day was pretty hot and as I was shooting the pics of them on the dock, I was knee high in the lake…and not wanting to come out! “Uh, wanna get a few more on the dock? Maybe??” or “I like this shot…lemme see what it looks like from in the lake….” haha…I need a pool or something. I couldn’t be happier with the results! Great looking family, Steph!
